The Second SEX?

I love women, I think we are one of the most fascinating creatures on earth. As I was growing up I always though it was very complicated to be a girl I was always looking for role models and confused about choosing what I wanted for myself.
I was always surrounded by strong man, both intellectually and physically who considered intelligent and strong willed woman as a different category as exceptions, as "masculine woman". This always confused me, I love beauty I love fashion I love the all the things you can call feminine, I like to search about healthy food,I love exercise, I like make up, hair and clothes, but I also love Art, Theatre, Philosophy and literature and for this man this things could never combine, you could be either feminine and delicate or intelligent and profound.
I don't believe in this concepts anymore: there's no reason why a woman can´t be beautiful and intelligent, Strength is not a masculine feature and I think that this is one of the miss conceptions that man who call strong and intelligent woman masculine have. I can´t agree with it, a strong woman isn´t masculine she just shows femininity in its higher point and it's a true inspiration for other man and woman.
Regarding my experience I started to be very interested in feminism, what does it mean to be a woman in XXI century? What is our role in society? I am going to write about 7 woman (for now) who really inspire me to become the person I aspire to be.
Below I leave some books about woman and feminism in the XX and XXI century:
A woman in your own right -  Dickson, Anne
The Second Sex - Beauvoir, Simone de
The Beauty Myth - Wolf, Naomi
Living Dolls -  Walter, Natacha
The New Feminism - Walter, Natacha
* I have only read from this books The Second Sex by Simone Beauvoir I don´t know yet about the other ones but I can guarantee you this one is a very interesting and enlightening book.
