The second Sex? Part III Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn is such a well known and loved icon, that it is very difficult to write anything original about her. It is easy to fall in love with her style, her grace and the achievements she made in her life and career. I have to admit that I was as well seduced by Audrey and  I have noticed myself asking once in a while, when I am trapped in sticky situations, what would Audrey do?
Audrey was born in Germany and went trough the horrors of the second world war. In the 40's she saw  her uncle shoot by the Nazis and made bread out of grass she and her mother found to feed the starving family. Nevertheless After the war Audrey moved to London, where she didn´t full fill her childhood dream of becoming a professional Ballerina but were she took the first steps, that lead her to become one of the world's best loved actresses. Her strong personality, her movies and her image challenged and provoked pre-established ideas about the way woman should behave in the XX century.

She had the brains the beauty the talent and as she once said: more sex appeal in the tip of her nose then some woman in their whole body.
I truly admire Audrey because she is the living proof that strength can be subtle and elegant rather then aggressive and enforced. She is a truly powerful and talented woman, an ideal for me, and someone I secretly think about for direction whenever I  have to make a important decision.
