The Help - Confidence Building

(image via man-and-a-camera)

Confidence is like a muscle: you need to exercise it everyday, so it becomes stronger and healthy. I want to share some little exercises that will help you improve your self image and focus on strengths while building a sense of trust on your own capabilities.

1. Breath until you calm yourself
2. Record in a notebook all your achievements so you can read them when you feel a bit down.
3. Adopt a can-do mindset
  • beaware of your language: avoid: No I can´t, I have to, I must, Should, Ought, Later
  • instead think and choose: I will, I am, I can, Sure, Yes
4. Try to meditate at night and in the morning. Find a positive mantra or affirmation that you like and read that out loud every morning and every night. I personally enjoy this one:
  • Even though you cannot control everything that happens, you can control your attitude toward what happens.  And in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you. (find more mantras and affirmations in here)
5. Remember to focus on what you are good at and at becoming even better. Congratulate yourself and be proud.
6. Compliment your-self in the mirror.
7. Create more, Learn more, Read more, Seek knowledge
8. Set goals. Believe, take action and achieve them.
9. Make your actions towards your goals as important as the final objective and you will learn the true joy of process.
10. Love, give, be grateful, trust and be joyful.
