1. Maigret, Caroline How to be Parisian - Me and my boyfriend are going to celebrate our 1 year anniversary in February, with a trip to Paris, so I thought I could prepare myself by reading the infamous How to be Parisian. I loved it, you can expect great advices on different topics: from where to go with your lover for a night out, to what French woman think about plastic surgery, and their beauty and style secrets. The main thing I got from it? embrace your inner french self and all its contradictions.
2. Furstenberg, Diane The Woman I wanted to be - Diane has all the great qualities I admire in women: strong personality, great style, confidence, unbelievable strength and creativity. I remember once reading a fantastic book that advised young girls to read about the lives of those whom they admired, since then I always get my hands on biographies about people that have impacted me in some sort of way. Diane is funny eloquent and fascinating, in the book you can learn about the hardships she suffered on the road that lead to the creation of the wrap dress.
3. Campbell, Colin The China Study - A very important study on the impact that the Western Diet has had on health, and the links between cancer, diabetes and coronary heart disease with the consumption of animal products. I believe everyone should read this book. Dr. Campbell enlightened me on the power that nutrition has over disease.
